So I haven't gotten much chance to take any kind of "artistic" pictures but I thought I'd post a couple pictures anyhow, just so anybody who checks back won't give up on me! ;) I'll try to get back to a more regular posting schedule soon. :D

I cut off Joey's hand accidentally but thought this one turned out pretty well. :) He's mid-air though it doesn't QUITE look like it. (Btw, he's jumping toward the basketball hoop, not just pointlessly leaping around. :P)

And I thought this one was neat because all of the background is out of focus, even though the camera was still. I can't take credit however, because this one was completely point-n-shoot and taken very quickly! :)

Stormy

There was a really awesome storm last night which continued for hours into the morning and dumped lots of rain on this small town. I was out there about 11:15 pm, taking pictures of the lightning with the manual 'bulb' setting on my very cool camera. :D

Carpenter Bees

Ever seen carpenter bees? They burrow into wood in these perfect circles. It's pretty amazing if you think about it... I don't think they sting but they are reminiscent of bumble bees. We've got 'em in this pile of wood which is sitting on our back deck.

Okay, I'm pretty excited because I just got this picture of lightning a few minutes ago! It's the best lightning picture I've ever been able to get, even if it's not that fantastic by all standards...

8ball took advantage of the warm September sun to take an outdoor nap. The way he looks when sleepy always makes me laugh.
