Sepia Tone

There's something curiously old-fashioned about a photograph in sepia tone. I kinda like it.

Fungi, Mushrooms and Toadstools! Oh my!!

Mushrooms ...or perhaps, more accurately, they ought to be called toadstools... fascinate me. They're so soft on the underside and ever-so-slightly moist. Their lifespan is incredibly short and the conditions necessary for them to grow are so specific... they're just really neat! :)



Can't you just picture the fairy life and leprechauns that exist beneath this one? ;)

Wildflowers in Kansas

I was out driving on a country afternoon the other day and stopped to get a picture of this...

Working with homemade "filters" :D

Rose and I were experimenting with all sorts of things today and discovered a cheap and handy homemade way to give the impression that a filter was used! :D As long as the picture requires a flash, it works to cover the flash bulb with colored paper to shoot the picture... here are a few examples...
