Angles Are My Friend :D

This picture kind of makes it look like the subject is jumping out of the tree or even just dropping down from the sky... :) ...thanks to the up angle of the camera. Pretty cool, methinks. :D (The picture below hasn't been messed with one whit. :))

Morning Star

Nothing too exciting here. Sadly, the picture came out a bit blurry. I only took three and this is the crispest of the lot. :( That's because it was a one-second shutter, without a tripod... Nonetheless, I thought it was really pretty how evenly and gradually the color of the sky changed... and how the last star could be seen gleaming just before sunrise. I took the picture about 6:50 am.

Full Moon

For a long time, I've wanted to take some time-exposures up at the Jesuit cemetery... last night, with a full moon out, I had the opportunity. :) This (having a 6.32 second exposure time) is one of the better pictures that came out~ I cropped the picture and straightened it a bit but didn't mess with the saturation or anything.

Wishful Thinking!

We've had so much warm weather around here lately that Spring won't be a novelty at all when it arrives! The plants are probably all confused. ;) This picture is from December 8, feast of the Immaculate Conception... oh, for more snow! :D

Lights at Top Speed!

These were Christmas lights strung through the trees along the sidewalk... the picture was taken from a moving car with a 0.25 s shutter.

100 Posts!!

100 posts and 1200+ hits!! :D Thank you all so much for supporting my photographic efforts. :) It's a lot of fun, but I do appreciate the encouraging comments and all those of you who are willing to be victims of my experiments and fits of the shutter bug (thank you to my family members!). :D
