The Lady Vanishes

Now you see her.... Now you don't.

More Proportionality

I thought this was kinda neat. The bases of the columns look so big in the foreground, compared to the flower pot in the distance.

More Shadows

This just fascinates me, because the shadows are so distinct and dark.... not shadowy at all. ;) Wheeeeee!!! .....just a slight bit of vertigo looking at this picture. ;)

Nosey

Wow. Yeah. 8ball got pretty inquisitive about that black box Rose was holding. ;) Talk about "in your face!"

Inspiration

I don't know about the rest of you, but I find it very inspiring to see someone doing a pilgrimage barefoot. We had one such pilgrim in our chapter for 7 miles!!

500 HITS

Today marks 500 hits!!! :)

Thank you, everyone in my small fan club, for checking back and visiting the blog! I think I ought to give special thanks to Christa who has always been the most supportive and enthusiastic about this blog, but also to my family who patiently tolerates my photographic tendencies. :D Thank you, all!!!!!!

Shadow Work

In the afternoon sun~

I have no words...

...for the flood of memories this picture brings back. So MANY days of my life, I walked up that sidewalk and back down again.

Autumn

The leaving are turning. And the weather is beautiful.

Darling

The feet of a slumbering infant. :)

Another of the Time Theme

I thought it was kind of neat the way the pendulum being blurred suggests that time is flying.

Shiny Clean

(With our late water difficulties, I now have a much greater appreciation for beautiful, crisp, clean water!! :D)

Nothing Sweeter...

...than a sleeping baby.
Now that is tranquility.
(Yes, it is focused on her hand on purpose. It looked so tiny and delicate.)

Reflections

Yet another masterpiece by said (wonderful, but unnamed) photographer. ;)

Sunrise on St. Mary's

It was pretty breath-taking in person.... of course, the loss of breath could've been due to standing in bare feet on a very cold deck. :P

Wintry Weather on the Way?

I love hot chocolate - it just bespeaks "winter," don't you think? :)

Pending

So I haven't gotten much chance to take any kind of "artistic" pictures but I thought I'd post a couple pictures anyhow, just so anybody who checks back won't give up on me! ;) I'll try to get back to a more regular posting schedule soon. :D

I cut off Joey's hand accidentally but thought this one turned out pretty well. :) He's mid-air though it doesn't QUITE look like it. (Btw, he's jumping toward the basketball hoop, not just pointlessly leaping around. :P)

And I thought this one was neat because all of the background is out of focus, even though the camera was still. I can't take credit however, because this one was completely point-n-shoot and taken very quickly! :)
