Another of the Time Theme

I thought it was kind of neat the way the pendulum being blurred suggests that time is flying.

Where is this? I don't recognize it.

That's a very neat picture, especially to myself, as I've been contemplating ;) (oh, no!) the concept of time a lot lately. ("Lately" in terms of time! ;) )
Well, yes, as Father has been talking about the angels and their duties to us, I find it particularly hard to grasp the concept of time (or lack thereof).
A matter of Faith. Nothing more!

Two cents worth, anyway, to take up two seconds of your time. ;)

Apparently, (according to Alec Guinness), St. Augustine said time comes from the future, passes through the present fleetingly, and disappears into the past. Ask Mr. Senior if he agrees. Perhaps time bubbles up from the past into the future -- aren't we all heading TOWARD Eternity? Perhaps time is, also?? Hm... Do you have an aspirin?

Sister said that the future and the past don't really "exist," because when the future comes it's the present and the past is only memory............ or something like that (I could have my facts wrong!!!)
I don't know! :D

That makes sense, especially as you prove your point by not being sure of the facts...your memory of what sister said is unclear. Can you be convinced the past didn't happen? Rose, it didn't happen. Sister never said it. You're just dreaming in the present about having a memory... ;)

To be unclear about the unclear - now that is just classic. ;)

Clearly, the past was present (then), the present is present (now) and the future will be present (then), so perhaps there is only the present -- I've been told all times are present before God... We may need a fifth opinion here.

Yeah, mine.

God exists outside of time, and everything is present to Him.

Actually, that's not just my opinion, that's the teaching of the Church....
How's that?? :)

And all from a little picture.

Time to Stop, on that good point.
God bless all in time and in Eternity, Amen!
(again, the picture is really neat, Monnie)

Wow. I had no idea a picture of something so simple would evoke so much! :)
